Powerboat Level 2
The PB2 is a beginner powerboat handling course spanning 2 days and awards you the RYA Powerboat Level 2 Certification. No prior experience required although participants are required to be at least 12 years old. It is designed to develop safe driving and handling skills for short day trips in powerboats. The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course covers the theory and practical skills that are needed to be a competent powerboat driver. You will learn how to manoeuvre a small RIB (Rigid inflatable boat) and is 30% theory based and 70% practical.

*You require this course to apply for your ICC certificate to drive powerboats aboard. ​​*​
VHF - SRC
The RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (SRC) is the minimum qualification required to operate marine VHF radio equipment on a UK flagged vessel. This includes both fixed and handheld equipment with and without Digital Selective Calling (DSC).

Training for the VHF Short Range Certificate must be 10 hours in duration and you have to sit an examination by an independent SRC assessor. ​

You can book a online training course, then do the assessment with us - the assessment is approximately 2 hours and gives you all the real life practical skills needed to operate a VHF radio.
