Multi-activity days.

Whether you are looking for a day of adventure on the hills and rivers, or testing the abilities of your students at our purpose built activity centre, we can provide your learners an experience they will never forget. We can even bring the adventure to you!

We can offer a mixture of activities on any given day to suit the needs of your school, this even includes two purpose built classrooms at our centre.

Example multi-activity day.

Arrival - 9.15 - You will be greeted by your instructor(s) when you arrive at centre to say hello and check through your final paperwork with you. The instructors will introduce themselves to the young people and then give your group a quick tour of the centre and facilities.

Morning session - Kayaking - (9.30 approx) - The group will prepare for their first session with an introduction to the kit they will need and be given the time to fit it all prior to the session (we know that no matter how old you are its never easy squeezing into wetsuits for the first time).

Once the group are all ready you will be lead to the marina where the group will be given a safety brief and will be made aware of any pre-arranged outcomes you may have. Finally its splash time, the group will take to the water and be given ample opportunities to undertake different challenges and tasked to fit with the developments and outcomes the students need - of course there will be lots of fun, games and laughs along the way.

Once we have gotten off of the water we will quickly review the first sessions and get you all back to our nice warm showers.

Lunch time - 12.00 - Although we recommend a packed lunch there are several places nearby for you to have a quick bite to eat. You are always more than welcome to eat lunch in one of our onsite classrooms, however you are always more than welcome to take the group out to the seafront to enjoy the view over lunch.

Afternoon session - Climbing / Problem solving - 13.00 - you will be whooshed away by your instructor to our purpose built climbing wall where we will give all the participants the opportunity to conquer there fears or conquer our wall. We will never force someone up the wall if they are scared however we will always help them to achieve something whilst they are with us no matter how high or small. (when working with all people on all sessions we run a challenge by choice program so learners can work at pushing personal boundaries and targets, not just focus on making it to the top of the wall.)

Once we have drained a little more energy our team will then move you on to your final challenge of the day where we will put you mental ability to the test with a selection of team building and problem solving challenges. This last activity will lead us nicely into a final review for the day where we can look at how the day's activities have fitted into your learning outcomes and find out how the students have felt about what they have experienced throughout the day.

Departure - 15.30 - You can let out a sigh of relief as we wave you all back onto your coach and the children take a well-deserved nap on the way back to school.

Possible session outcomes.

  • Improved team working skills

  • better use and understanding of communication skills and their benefits.
